Create a plan with your care team
Diabetes management depends on the type of diabetes, health history, medicines and personal goals. Ask your clinician what to monitor, how often to follow up and what to do when readings are outside your agreed range.
Make food and movement practical
Balanced meals and regular activity can support general health and may be part of diabetes care. Advice should fit your treatment, preferences and access to food or exercise. Seek guidance before major diet changes, fasting or vigorous exercise, especially if you use medicines that affect blood sugar.
Never stop prescribed medicines on your own
Do not stop or change insulin, tablets or other prescribed medicines because of an online article, traditional remedy or change in diet. Ask your diabetes care team about every medicine, vitamin, herbal product and supplement you take.
Use Ayurveda as a discussion—not a substitute
If you consult an Ayurvedic practitioner, share your diabetes diagnosis and current treatment with the clinicians involved. Any complementary advice should be coordinated and should not delay care for warning signs or replace regular monitoring.
Need individual advice?
A general article cannot assess your personal health. Speak with a qualified clinician and seek timely evaluation where appropriate.
